The creation of new public gardens with a children’s playground and café was commissioned by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The site of the former open-air swimming pool had been derelict for nearly 25 years and this riverside regeneration created much national interest with local people keen to see this abandoned area reclaimed for public use.
The gardens, developed after much consultation, provide a good amenity space for all.
Green Scheme worked hand-in-hand with the architects and designed the planting schemes throughout. We project managed the installation and devised the programme for continuing maintenance.
